EVERY person leaves empowered.
The Problem
THE CHARLEE strives to be the solution to a common problem in the salon industry. We frequently hear from clients that they’re rarely satisfied with the results of both hair color and cut services completed by one technician, usually loving how one service turns out but less than thrilled with the other. This is because there is so much to learn and practice to become proficient in with each speciality.
The Solution
Technicians at THE CHARLEE are passionate about hair and each have their area of expertise. With specialized technicians, you experience someone who is a master of their craft, devoted to ongoing education and top techniques. We listen to your hair type, needs and desires and match you with the right expert for you.

The Service
We want you to love your hair and for that to hold true, you need knowledge of how to handle your hair at home. At THE CHARLEE, client education is a top priority. Our goal is that every person leaves empowered to replicate their customized style at home with confidence. We believe that by pairing consistent results with unparalleled service our clients will have an experience only THE CHARLEE team can offer.
The Space
THE CHARLEE is located on the 300 block of East Orange Street in the Historic District, a wonderful neighborhood with less than a ten minute walk to Penn Square in the center of town. The newly renovated building was vacant and condemned for many years- we are overjoyed to turn it into a new business in the incredible, flourishing little city of Lancaster.

"I absolutely love anything from Davines' NaturalTech line. Each NaturalTech family focuses on a specific scalp or hair issue. My current go-tos are their Detoxifying Scrub Shampoo followed by the Renewing Conditioning Treatment."

"Beautiful hair is healthy hair, and the health of your hair starts at the scalp. I like to do an at-home detoxifying scalp scrub followed by a hair mask at least once a month. It removes buildup from products and pollution, and allows your hair to absorb all the key ingredients in your hair mask and products!"

"My family loves going out for breakfast on the weekend at one of downtown’s wonderful restaurants. We usually head to a park or the Lancaster Science Factory afterwards to get out some energy. Being able to enjoy and connect with other local businesses in our free time is what makes Lancaster so special!"

“I love how versatile Featherbalm is. Use it on wet or dry hair to tame, smooth and hydrate!”

“Extensions can be used for much more than just that extra length. I like to add them to a clients hair to create more volume or to give them a style that would be hard to achieve with their natural hair.”

“I enjoy date nights at the Belvedere or Pressroom with my husband. We also love to spend nights in with our son or barbecuing with our big Greek family!”

"This is a Texturizing Serum by Davines is unique because it not only texturizes, but also provides lightweight hydration. It’s soft and workable so it avoids that gritty feeling that some texturizers give. It works with air drying as well as blow drying and can be layered with other products as needed. It’s a must have for undone texture volume."

"When shaking out curls, natural or not, put just a dab of Davines' Oi Oil on your hands and rub it in like a lotion. That super thin coat of oil will prevent frizz when while breaking up curls while also giving some extra shine."

"I live in downtown Lancaster with my cats, Fennec and Freya. We love cozy days at home playing music and reading but I also love exploring the city in search of the best cup of coffee. My current favorites are Square One and Mean Cup. I’m also kind of a nerd so I love hanging out at Troll Market or Farbo."

"Lately I have been using Davines' This is a Shimmering Mist before I walk out the door. It's a perfect finishing spray to add that little pop of shine and tame fly-aways. So easy to use and smells great!"

"Add a texturizing spray to your styling products! I like using a texturizing spray over hairspray because it gives your hair a great lived-in look while adding volume and texture. It's more workable and softer than hairspray!"

"You can always find me grabbing a coffee or eating ice cream. Big fan of personal style, live music, and thrifting!"
